First came the decision to join the Nachalat Binyamin art fair, then began a search for a new jewelry collection that will fit all the necessary requirements. It had to be hand-made, that is the number one rule at the art fair. But, after a decade of working for the mass production industry that wasn’t a simple switch to make. Furthermore, designing without a specific customer gave me too much freedom.

Finally, materials and skills put me on the right track. Silver was a given, glass was my hobby and there was already a small kiln in the house. Drawing was an old love that felt warm and safe. It seemed like a simple enough idea, drawing with glass powders on glass, fire in a kiln and frame with silver. what could possibly go wrong…

That was the beginning of the worst year of my life.
